Flannel with a twist

Hi loves! It’s been busy lately but I’m excited for a new season and lots of fun things coming up. Today I am sharing my newest flannel obsession and how I styled it – 2 ways.

Fall is a great time for all those transitional pieces you can wear alone or layer under a cardigan or jacket. This tie flannel shirt can be worn alone, under a jacket/cardigan sweater or unbuttoned over a tank or tee.

I love flannels this time of year and am always on the lookout for a great style I can add to my closet. I fell in love with the deep olive color, which will be great for fall and pairs well with just about every color. The fabric is super soft and cozy, it has tabs on the sleeves and unlike your average flannel… it ties at the waist!!

Today I am sharing two ways to style this top.

I’ve styled it with black denim and bow loafers for a girly casual look. Here I am letting the shirt do all the talking and really showing it off with neutral pieces. The waist tie detail is so fun and feminine that the rest of the outfit can be simple to really showcase the top.

LOOK 2:

I’ve opted for a more layered, casual style with a black vneck tee and raw hem denim. I love layering flannels and this look is so easy and comfy. Wear the shirt unbuttoned and just tie the drawstrings into bows like you would on a cargo jacket.

You can get this exact flannel from Marlowe Boutique. They also have so many other new fall staples you will love and NEED in your closet! Lots of cute styles and the customer service is unbeatable!! You will not be disappointed, trust me!

For all you local Seattle area babes, the store grand opening is tomorrow, September 20!

Thanks for stopping by and happy shopping!
